Wine Flight

Pronunciation: WINE FLITE

Short definition

A curated set of smaller pours — usually three to five — served together for comparison and education.

A wine flight lines up several small pours (typically 2-3 oz each) around a theme: three Pinot Noirs from different regions, a progression from dry to sweet Riesling, or wines that pair with a specific dish. Flights cost less than ordering each wine separately by the glass. They are the best educational tool a restaurant offers — you can compare side by side and discover your preferences in real time.
